We All Need Alone Time.

Good Morning Friends! Today’s post is a simple reminder that we all need alone time sometimes. Yes, we all need to spend some quality time alone regularly – to reflect, recharge, and to completely rest our bodies, souls and minds.

Psalm 62:5, NIV Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.

From the scriptures, we see that even Jesus regularly took time to be alone:

Matthew 14:13-14, TPT On hearing this, Jesus slipped away privately by boat to be alone. But when the crowds discovered he had sailed away, they emerged from all the nearby towns and followed him on foot. So when Jesus landed he had a huge crowd waiting for him. Seeing so many people, his heart was deeply moved with compassion toward them, so he healed all the sick who were in the crowd.

Luke 5:16, NCV …but Jesus often slipped away to be alone so he could pray.

We all need each other, and it is very important to participate in regular uplifting and encouraging fellowship with others, so we can encourage one another and build each other up. But we must not neglect the equally important habit of spending time alone as well.

Psalm 62:1-2, BSB In God alone my soul finds rest; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation. He is my fortress; I will never be shaken.

Let’s follow our Lord’s example by intentionally taking the time to practice being alone. So help us God.
