Can I leave my unbelieving husband or wife? Should I leave my unbelieving husband or wife?

I am a Christian. Can I leave my unbelieving husband? Can I leave my unbelieving wife? Should I leave my unbelieving husband? Should I leave my unbelieving wife?

What does the Bible say about leaving an unbelieving spouse? Here are some encouraging words from the Apostle Paul from the Bible:

1 Corinthians 7:12 -13, NLT Now, I will speak to the rest of you, though I do not have a direct command from the Lord. If a Christian man has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to continue living with him, he must not leave her. And if a Christian woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to continue living with her, she must not leave him.

1 Corinthians 7:14, NLT For the Christian wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the Christian husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.

1 Corinthians 7:15, NLT (But if the husband or wife who isn’t a believer insists on leaving, let them go. In such cases the Christian husband or wife is no longer bound to the other, for God has called you to live in peace.)

Dear Friends, please PRAY for YOUR UNBELIEVING SPOUSE!

I pray you have found the above helpful. In summary, If you are already married to an unbeliever, please, hang in there with God’s help, live your life to the glory of God, and PRAY. PRAY. PRAY.

***Of course, this is assuming there is no abuse involved. If you are afraid for your safety or for the safety of your loved ones, please RUN! Seek help, and get far away! You can pray for them from afar, but you need to get yourself out of this dangerous situation before you or your loved ones get seriously hurt!***

Dear Friends, if you are not yet married to an unbeliever but are considering marriage, please, don’t do it. Please, just don’t.
