One step at a time with God, One step at a time with Jesus

One step at a time with God, One step at a time with Jesus. Dear Friends, I am growing one step at a time with God! Yes, I am growing one step at a time with Jesus! Praise God!

A while ago, we explored While we wait for Jesus – We were made for more!. More recently, we also explored What I want from God, where I shared that my heart’s prayer for myself and for you, my dear readers, is that God would grant us complete knowledge of his will, and help us to continually grow in spiritual wisdom and understanding.

I am practically bursting with excitement as I type today – I wanted to share this testimony with you! 😀 I am so thrilled to report that God is answering these prayers for more! I am growing one step at a time with God, and trusting Him to continue to help me grow in every way, so that my life will be completely pleasing to Him! Friend, I pray the same for you ~ Amen!

Allow me to share these 4 reminders – I pray these are a blessing to you!

#1 Please, Don’t worry about anything – instead, PRAY about everything!
Pray to God for direction and guidance about everything.
Commit everything to God, and He will help you and also give you peace!

Philippians 4:6-7, NLT Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.
Psalm 37:5, NLT Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.

#2 When someone gives you a hard time, please, don’t respond in a like manner. Instead, use this experience as an opportunity to learn, grow, and glorify God, by His grace! Always let people bring out the best in you, not the worst!
You know, if we never encounter difficult people, we will never learn how to respond to people in grace. If we never take these opportunities to “practice” being good representatives of Jesus, we will never learn how to deal with even more difficult situations in the future. Friends, when you encounter rude, difficult or inconsiderate actions, remember – it’s not about them! It’s about YOU and your relationship with God! We are in daily training. God is molding us, refining us – we are growing one step at a time with Jesus!

Matthew 5:43-48, MSG “You’re familiar with the old written law, ‘Love your friend,’ and its unwritten companion, ‘Hate your enemy.’ I’m challenging that. I’m telling you to love your enemies. Let them bring out the best in you, not the worst. When someone gives you a hard time, respond with the energies of prayer, for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best—the sun to warm and the rain to nourish – to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that. In a word, what I’m saying is, Grow up. You’re kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.

#3 When someone gives you a hard time, have you considered that this might actually be God’s way of gently pushing you away from making a decision that is not right for you?
Consider this: This person might not even know why they are acting so weird to you, but trust me, God knows! Maybe they are just having a bad day, but it is also very possible that God is using this experience to prevent you from jumping into a situation that is not His will for you. Pray about it, and trust God to lead you aright! And whatever you do, please don’t snap back at people or retaliate with harsh words or a bad attitude – remember, it’s not about them! This is all about your relationship with God! Always respond with grace, by God’s grace! 😀 Do your own part and Trust God to do His part!

Proverbs 25:4, NIV Show me your ways, LORD, teach me your paths.
Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

#4 In all your dealings with people, please, always remember – nobody has the power over your destiny, only God does!
Yes, that is correct – don’t you forget it! No matter how important or powerful a person might seem, they don’t have any real power over you! Only God does. Your life is in God’s hands. Your hope is in God’s hands. Please, Don’t let other people’s actions affect you. Don’t let people turn you into someone you are not. Focus on fixing your eyes on God! Let’s keep on growing in God one step at a time, by His grace. Let’s keep on growing one step at a time with Jesus! Commit your life and all that you do into God’s hands, and trust him to help you in everything you say and do!:)! He certainly will – I can testify! 🙂

Thanks for reading, Dear Friends!
Have a wonderfully blessed, stress-free, productive, and joyful day!
Much Love & Blessings,
