Learn To Respond, Not React.
Good Morning, Dear Friends! 💖
Today’s post is a simple yet very important reminder to us all:
Learn To Respond, Not React.
Bible Verse Of The Day:
James 1:19, NIV My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
We must learn to “seek first to understand, then to be understood”.
God has given us two ears and one mouth, so we must learn how to listen more than we speak. See also: Bible Verses about Thinking Before Speaking; Listen before you speak.
We must continually practice humility, gentleness, patience, love – knowing that our purpose is to please God, not people.
We must master our attitudes, thoughts, words, actions and reactions, so that everything we say and do will give glory to God! See also: Should I Leave Jesus Out Of It?
Learn To Respond, Not React – Encouraging Bible Verses & Scripture Quotes:
Colossians 4:6, NIV Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Romans 12:2, NIV Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Ephesians 4:2, NLT Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.
Matthew 5:16, NIV In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
Colossians 3:17, NLT And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father. (We are representatives of Jesus!)
