Dear Friends, if someone’s on your mind, reach out to them. Don’t wait until you have more time. Just do it, and it’s done!

If you’re thinking about someone and wondering how they are doing, just pick up the phone and call, or send them a quick text if you don’t have any time to call.

You’ll be surprised how much you can squeeze in during the day – little “touches” that won’t affect you negatively in any way, but can bring a whole lot of encouragement to others, and to you as well!

You never know how much your text or call might mean to someone.

You never know what people are going through, if only temporarily.

You never know why God has placed them on your heart.
What do you have to lose by reaching out?

If you think about someone, If someone’s on your mind, If you’ve been meaning to contact them – Just do it. Don’t wait till you have more time, because before you know it a week will go by, then a month, then 6 months, then a year…. you get the picture.

Our little touches may not seem like much, but they may open the door to big opportunities to share on a deeper level with someone, to encourage, and to be encouraged.

You can make a quick call to say hello to someone while you are doing other things e.g. while you are cleaning, loading your dishwasher, cooking, washing your car, taking a walk alone, etc. You don’t have to wait till you have 20 minutes available before you can reach out to someone!

Take a quick 3 minute break from hours of working on your computer, and send an email or text to a friend or loved one to tell them you are thinking of them. If you have the opportunity, you can even make a 5 minute call, or leave a voicemail. You never know how encouraging your words might be.

Like my dear Dad reminded me this morning:
“For example, phoning up from time to time to encourage one another may be more therapeutic than we imagine. We should all consider making the time to contact relatives and friends more often than we currently do.”
Yes, yes, yes, so help us God. See also: Prayer for my family today

May we continually help, encourage and support one another, by God’s grace.
