Dear Friends, I woke up early this morning with these thoughts on my mind, and I’m delighted to share them with you. I pray these words and scriptures are a blessing to you.

If God tells you to do something, please do it.
If God tells you not to do something, then don’t do it.

When Jesus asked Simon to let down his nets for fish just one more time, it seemed like a fruitless task. What Jesus was asking didn’t make a whole lot of sense to Simon at the time. But his response? “Because you say so, I will.” Simon obeyed even though he didn’t quite understand. Simon did what Jesus asked him to do even though he didn’t see the end from the beginning. Simon’s obedience was greatly rewarded, he had absolutely no idea how much fish he would catch that morning. Related: Bible Verses about Obedience and Blessing

Luke 5:6, NIV When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break.

Psalm 119:60, NLT I will hurry, without delay, to obey your commands. (Amen)

Dear Friends, the more we practice obeying God when he tells us to do something, the more sensitive we will become to his desires for us, and the more God will be able to entrust us with.

Dear Lord, please help us remember that God knows best. Please help us remember that God knows all and sees all, God sees the end from the beginning, and that God sees the big picture. Please help us remember that God’s plans for us are good! May we always do what God tells us to do. Amen.
