I Will Follow Christ. Yes Lord, I will follow you!

Dear Friends, God ministered to me afresh today, and I wanted to share the following scriptures and words with you. I pray and trust this post will be a blessing to you and yours.

Today’s scripture reading is taken from Luke 9:57-62, ESV:
The Cost of Following Jesus
“As they were going along the road, someone said to him, “I will follow you wherever you go.” And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.” To another he said, “Follow me.” But he said, “Lord, let me first go and bury my father.”

Jesus said to him, “Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God.” Yet another said, “I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home.” Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.”

Dear Friends, are you following Christ Jesus? Are you ready to follow Christ unreservedly, wholeheartedly, and unashamedly… or are you still looking back, caught up in “sorting this out” and “sorting that out” first?

Are you ready for Christ to make His home in your heart? Are you ready for Christ to take the center stage, or do you want to keep Jesus in a little corner, serving as a genie in a bottle only when you need something?

Are you ready to follow Christ? Are you ready to say: I will follow Christ?

May the cry of our heart today and always be: I WILL FOLLOW CHRIST.
Yes Lord, I will follow you! (Amen Lord, so help us God ~ Amen!)
