God Does Not Need Your Strength. God Wants Your Weakness!

Good Morning, Dear Friends!

I came across this quote by Charles Spurgeon this morning, and it is such a powerful reminder about relying on God’s strength, instead of ours! Here is the quote:

“God does not need your strength: he has more than enough power of his own. He asks your weakness: he has none of that himself, and he is longing, therefore, to take your weakness, and use it as the instrument in his own mighty hand. Will you not yield your weakness to him, and receive his strength?” ~ Charles Spurgeon

Encouraging Bible Verses, Scripture Quotes & Reminders:

Philippians 4:13, BSB I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.

2 Corinthians 12:9, ESV But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

May we always remember that God does not need our strength – What God wants is our weakness; so that we in turn can then find our strength in God.

May we be encouraged as we recall that God does not expect us to figure things out on our own – God cares about everything that concerns us, and God is always ready to help! Our part is to surrender to God.
