Example #2
My husband and I were getting ready to make a major purchase. We found a candidate that seemed to fit the bill. It was an exciting time! 🙂 We prayed and committed the entire process into God’s hands, and we trusted that God would lead us aright. As usual, we prayed that no matter where we were in this process, God would make His will clear to us, and that if for whatever reason we were about to take a step that was not His desire for us, He should “butt in” and not allow the transaction go through.
We went ahead and prayed again the morning before the final submissions. We signed on all the dotted lines, submitted the documents, and left the rest in God’s hands. Later that day, we found out that for some still inexplicable reason, the documents we submitted were not received, so the transaction was not completed as it should have been. Furthermore, the other party to the transaction started behaving in an explosive manner… we had no other explanation for this strange turn of events. We were 99% sure it was God answering our prayers, and leading us away from this major purchase we were about to make.
We decided to once again trust that God would bless our efforts to obey Him. God knows all and sees all. He sees the end from the beginning, and sees what we cannot see. We let it go, and the transaction was not completed. Shortly afterwards, we found another great option! 🙂 Once again, we prayed and trusted God to lead and guide us, and to kindly “butt in” if He needed to! This time, everything went very smoothly, and we felt peace. Praise God!

Example # 3
I woke up much earlier than usual the other day, and I felt like God wanted me to pray. I had a short list of people I felt led to pray for that morning, and I prayed for them. Shortly after I settled down at my computer to start the day’s work, I sent a quick text to one of the people I had felt led to pray for, just to say hello. We hadn’t talked in a very long time. I received a response from her almost right away. She said she had been thinking a lot about me during her quiet time that morning, and felt like God wanted her to pray for me. Wow! I felt like God was winking at me 😀
Not too long after that, I received another text from someone else that I had been praying for that morning. She sent beautiful heartwarming prayers to me via text. I think it is safe to conclude that God had also put me on her mind that morning. I felt like God was blowing kisses my way! 😀 I love it! Related: 5 Testimonies of God’s goodness
Dear friends, I pray these very simple examples have been an encouragement to you. I have so many more examples showing that God always blesses our efforts to obey him, to honor him, and to please Him. Dear Friends, we can trust Him! He is worthy to be praised! “No one who hopes in Him will never be ashamed.”
May we keep on growing one step at a time with God, by His grace. May we always live our lives honoring and glorifying God! Amen.
