How do you give your burdens to the Lord? How do you give your burdens to Jesus? How do you give your burdens to God?
#1. Talk to God => Take it to God in Prayer.
Take your burdens, frustrations, anger, pain, worries, disappointments and fears to God. Talk to God and tell Him all about it. Tell God what’s on your mind, tell him all your frustrations and fears – both big and small. No matter what you’re going through, No matter how you feel… God can take it! And God WILL take care of you from the inside out. See also: Come to the throne of Grace
#2. Surrender it to God
You’ve talked to God about it, you’ve let it all out. Now it’s time to exercise your trust in God by surrendering your burdens to God. Imagine yourself physically laying those burdens down at the foot of the cross. God can only do His complete work when we do our part – which is to surrender fully and completely to God.
#3. Write it down.
Write down the topic of this burden, and today’s date, followed by something like: SURRENDERED TO GOD. If you journal, this could be a great journal entry. Consider including some of the scriptures on this page, or/& any encouraging thoughts or words God has ministered to you as you have gone through this exercise. These recorded words can serve as an encouraging reminder to you in the future.
#4. Trust God!
Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
