Follow God, not your heart. Follow God’s heart, not yours. Don’t follow your heart, follow God. Follow God with all your heart!

Follow God, not your heart.
Follow God’s heart, not yours.
Don’t follow your heart, follow God.
Follow God with all your heart!

Dear Friends, today I am reminded to follow God’s heart, not mine.

My heart can be wicked, selfish and unkind sometimes.
My heart can lie to me sometimes, and I may not even realize it!
My heart cannot always be trusted!
(See Jeremiah 17:9)

Friends, we should listen to our hearts – in doing so we will discover more about ourselves, and by God’s grace make the best of our discoveries, to the glory of God!

However, May we always remember:
I must not be led by my heart, I must be led by God.
I must not believe in my heart, I must believe in God.
I must not follow my heart, I must guard my heart and follow God!

Proverbs 4:23, NLT Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life.
Matthew 6:33, NLT Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Matthew 6:21, ESV For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
John 14:1, ESV Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me.

Dear Friends, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Says:
John 10:11, NIV I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.
John 14:6, ESV I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 10:27, NIV My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Friends, we must instruct our hearts to follow God’s heart.
Matthew 22:37, NIV ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’

When we follow God’s heart, God saves us.
When we follow God’s heart, God strengthens us.
When we follow God’s heart, God teaches us, guides us, and leads us aright.
When we follow God’s heart, God fills our hearts with His joy and His peace!

In parting, here are 5 Reminders/Bible Verses about Following God’s Heart:
