Dear Friends,
Today’s post is a simple reminder to you and me:
Don’t be led by your emotions, be led by the Holy Spirit!

Your emotions and feelings may seem real but are not always the truth.
We cannot always trust that what we feel is the truth!
Don’t be led by your emotions – Don’t let your emotions control you!

We can however always put our trust in God! We can always trust that God is truth, and God will always lead us in truth!

Here are some Encouraging Bible Verses to reinforce these truths:

Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Proverbs 14:12, NIV There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.

Romans 8:6, NLT So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace.

John 14:6, NIV Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Psalm 119:105, ESV Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

John 17:17, ESV Sanctify them in the truth; your word is truth.

1 Peter 4:2, GNT From now on, then, you must live the rest of your earthly lives controlled by God’s will and not by human desires.

1 Peter 5:8, NLT Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Dear Friends, every day and in every way, determine to follow God’s heart, not yours!

Let us not allow ourselves to be led by our emotions. Instead, let us surrender to being led by the Holy Spirit, always to the glory of God. Amen.
