Does Jesus want you to be rich? Do you want to be rich?

Does Jesus want you to be rich? Do you want to be rich?

Dear Friends, Jesus wants you to be rich.
Yes, Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ definitely wants us to be rich!

Here’s What Jesus Says:
John 10:10, ESV The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

2 Corinthians 8:9, ESV For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

Jesus Encourages us to Put Our Trust in God alone:
Matthew 6:33, NLT Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

Jesus Speaks to the Complacent Church:
Revelation 3:18, NLT I advise you to buy gold from me – gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. Also buy white garments from me so you will not be shamed by your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see.
Revelation 3:19, NLT I correct and discipline everyone I love. So be diligent and turn from your indifference.
Revelation 3:20, NLT Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.

Prayer
Dear Jesus, Thank you for all that we have been reminded of today. We want to be truly rich Lord – continually learning & growing, becoming who God created us to be. We want to seek God first in all things. We want to be clothed in God’s righteousness. We want to buy purified gold from you, so we can be truly rich! We want to buy white garments from you, so we can live in purity, without any shame! We want to buy ointment from you, so that our eyes will be open to what you want us to see!

Psalm 51:15, NIV Open my lips, Lord, and my mouth will declare your praise.
Psalm 51:16, NLT You do not desire a sacrifice, or I would offer one. You do not want a burnt offering.
Psalm 51:17, NLT The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

Dear Lord, we offer our lives completely to you today and always, by your grace. We invite you into every area of our lives Lord… help us to completely surrender to you! Help us to be Quick to obey Godhonoring God through obedience every day of our lives. May we experience the rich, satisfying and abundant life that you desire for us. May we continue living for God everyday!

As you continue to bless us in every way, May we always put our trust in YOU and in YOU alone. May we never put our trust in our earthly treasures, earthly possessions or in anything else you graciously bless us with. And O Lord, May we always remember that we are blessed to be a blessing!
