Clothed in God’s Righteousness – Bible Verses & Devotional
This morning, I am reminded that our righteousness is like filthy rags… being righteous on our own, in our own power and strength alone, just doesn’t cut it – our own righteousness doesn’t save us. (See Isaiah 64:6)

But thank God for God! Thank God for grace! 😀
By God’s grace, we are clothed in God’s Righteousness!
God’s righteousness saves us! God’s mercy surrounds us! God’s love covers us!

Isaiah 61:10, ESV I will greatly rejoice in the LORD; my soul shall exult in my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation; he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

Thank you God for clothing us in your righteousness ~ We rejoice in you!

Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Psalm 132:9, ESV Let your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let your saints shout for joy.

Psalm 35:9, NASB And my soul shall rejoice in the LORD; It shall exult in His salvation.

Luke 1:47, NLT How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!

Psalm 13:5, NLT …I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation.

I am reminded of this beautiful chorus:
“Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that will pardon and cleanse within;
Grace, grace, God’s grace,
Grace that is greater than all our sin!” ~ Julia H. Johnston

I am so thankful for God’s Saving Grace! Oh I am so thankful for Grace!

By God’s grace, I am clothed in God’s Righteousness! I am covered in God’s love!

My righteousness ; salvation ; deliverance ; and freedom is not based on what I have done, it is based on who God is and what Jesus has done for me! I accept these beautiful clothes of righteousness and wear them with joy and gratitude! I am clothed in God’s righteousness – Praise God!
