First, we look at 2 Thought Provoking Bible Verses about Being Faithful in the Little Things. Scroll down for More Inspiring Thoughts & Scriptures on Being Faithful in the Little Things, and Using Your Gifts Now – i.e. Using whatever God has blessed you with now, rather than waiting until you have more.
The Power of Being Faithful In The Little Things: Be Faithful with what you have been given, and God will bless you with more!
Luke 16:10, NASB He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
Luke 19:26, NLT …to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
Do you have great plans and ideas of what you would like to do for God in the future? Maybe you have dreams of doing some mighty big things once you have some things sorted out – A little more time, A little more money, A little more influence, some more skills, or perhaps some more resources? Maybe you keep planning on doing some research, “working on some stuff first”, “looking into it”… some day?
Today, I am being reminded that what truly matters most is not all the grand plans we make up in our heads for the future. No matter how sincere or how grand those plans may be, they will never be realized if we never start. What matters at the end of the day is not what we sincerely wish to do. What matters is what we are actually doing with whatever we have right now.
If we are being faithful in the “little things” – i.e. whatever we have in our hands now – whatever talents and gifts, abilities, opportunities, resources and time that God has blessed us with, right now and right where we are, then God will bless us with even more gifts, talents, abilities, opportunities and resources. Furthermore, God will continually bless us with wisdom to manage our time effectively and efficiently.
We all have a diverse set of gifts, talents, skills, and opportunities:
1 Corinthians 12:4-6, ESV Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone.
Our gifts are not for our own benefit, they have been given to us so we can bless others and glorify God:
1 Peter 4:10, NIV Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

We all have a choice to make. We can be faithful in the “little things” now, or keep waiting and waiting and waiting for the “big things” that will probably never materialize if we don’t first take the time to faithfully develop the seemingly little things.
Luke 19:26, NLT …to those who use well what they are given, even more will be given. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
An example of this occurrence is found in: The Parable of The Talents
If we keep procrastinating and do not use our gifts, they will surely become dormant, and the enemy will be pleased! All those gifts just going to waste – not growing, not touching lives, not making an impact, not blessing others like we have been designed to? God forbid!
Matthew 5:13 – 16, ESV You are the salt of the earth… You are the light of the world… Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
If we use our gifts now, no matter how insignificant we think they are, we will surely impact the lives in our sphere of influence. When we are faithful in the little things, God will certainly bless our efforts and increase our gifts, resources, and our sphere of influence, even if we don’t immediately realize it. The more faithful we are in using whatever God has put in our hands, the more God will develop, refine and multiply our gifts – to the glory of His name.
