Beating Myself Up Over Mistakes: Are You Beating Yourself Up Over Mistakes You’ve Made?

Beating Myself Up Over Mistakes: Are You Beating Yourself Up Over Mistakes You’ve Made?

Dear Friends, I have made many mistakes. I have made many unwise decisions. I have sinned and fallen short. I have done things that I deeply regret and wish I could go back and undo. I have said things I wish I could unsay. I have done things that I am ashamed of, and made decisions that in retrospect, were not the best. I have beaten myself up over my many mistakes, because in most cases, I should have known better.

This morning, I am being reminded again and again to not be hard on myself!

I am being reminded to stop criticizing myself!

I am being reminded that God Is Faithful To His Promises – God is not lying when He says He will forgive our transgressions and not remember them anymore, if we confess our sins to Him! (1 John 1:9)

I am being reminded that God doesn’t condemn us!

God is not lying when he says that NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR GODthere is no mistake or bad decision that God cannot turn around for His glory!

Nothing is too hard for GodAll power belongs to God! πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

I am being reminded that even as I strongly believe that God can use other people’s mistakes, missteps and unwise decisions for good and for His glory, HE CAN AND WILL DO THE SAME FOR ME! I am being reminded to encourage and build myself up continually, just as I strive to continually encourage others and build them up!

Brothers and Sisters, God is able! God has the power to turn situations around and cause everything to work out for good – and this includes ALL of our mistakes, missteps, sins, setbacks, and unwise decisions! When we keep beating ourselves up over things we have done in the past, are we not undermining God’s authority, power and ability to cause everything to work out for good? God forbid!
