Are you too busy for God?
Dear Friends, God wants us to be diligent and hardworking. The Bible encourages us not to be idle or lazy but to have busy hands (See Proverbs 10:4-7, Proverbs 13:4, & Proverbs 6:6, to name a few scriptures). And as the saying goes: “idle hands are the devil’s workshop”! 😀
God certainly does NOT want laziness to be our portion or our way of life – absolutely not!
Our Good Father wants us to have a good work ethic, but God also wants us to rest!

Psalm 127:2, ESV It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
Dear Friends, God wants us to be hardworking and to keep busy. God however never wants us to be so busy that we have no quality time to rest, no quality time to spend with God, and no quality time to do the things that God wants us to do.
Satan wants to keep us discouraged so that we cannot realize our full potential in God. The enemy is terrified of who he knows we have the potential of becoming, and what he knows God can do in us and through us, with our cooperation. If discouragement doesn’t keep us down, satan will try to keep us busy busy busy with distractions, so that we have no time for God!
Dear Friends – If we’re too busy for God, then we’re too busy. Life is short… Time flies! May we seek and accept wisdom from God to know how to properly manage our time and our schedules. May we learn to trust God with our schedules, laying it all at his feet! May we learn to carefully consider how we spend our time, and what we continually give our energy to. May we always remember that a good idea is not necessarily a God idea. May we not be wise in our own eyes, but know what the will of God is. Bible Verses about Time Management
Are you too busy for God? Are you too busy for Christ? Here’s a practical example:
Martha’s busyness in Luke 10:38-42 is a great example of being too busy for God – while doing a good thing! Remember, a good idea is not always a God idea. Martha was so busy serving that she inadvertently became too busy for God in the flesh (i.e. Jesus). That day, Martha allowed good things to distract her from great things. May God help us to continually discern what is truly important at each point in our lives. Bible Verses about Discernment
May our lives make a positive impact on those around us, starting with our family members and those closest to us. May our schedules continually glorify God and shame the enemy.
May we never be too busy for God!

Dear Lord, please help us to seek and gain wisdom from you. Help us to work smart – rather than burning candles on both ends being busy busy busy. Help us to not allow good things to distract us from GREAT things – living out your plans for our lives!
