What is God Thinking of Me? Does God really think about me?
Absolutely! “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” – Jeremiah 29:11, KJV
God says He will never leave us or forsake us – He is with us always.
“I am God’s own, God is is with me always – He will never abandon me!”
The enemy will try to convince us that God doesn’t care about us, or that God has abandoned us, especially in times of trouble. Big lie. The truth is that being children of God does not mean we are exempt from hard times. But we need not fear, because He that in us is greater that He that is in the world(1 John 4:4). Let’s keep our focus on God and we will have peace, even in times of trouble.
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33, NIV
“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!” – Isaiah 49:15, NIV
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10, NIV
What does God expect of Me?
“Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.” – Colossians 3:12
“And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8, NIV
“Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” – 1 John 4:7-8, NIV
“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” – Matthew 22:37-39
Final Thoughts:
“When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him?” – Psalm 8:3-4, NKJV
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” – Romans 8:31, NIV
Thank you very much for reading! Please, let us read, confess, accept and embrace these truths again and again. May we continually say what God says, and think what God thinks – May we all continually become the people God wants us to be. Amen.
