Good Morning Friends,

I have been dealing with a particular challenge recently. As it often happens when we are preoccupied with a problem or challenge, I was thinking about it a lot and doing a lot of research to find possible solutions – at all hours of the day and night. I researched, researched, and researched. I kept going through different possibilities and scenarios in my mind. And yes, I worried about it.

A couple of days ago, a thought suddenly hit me hard: Have you prayed about this as much as you have researched it?

That thought stopped me in my tracks. It forced me to reconsider the steps that I, a child of God, had been taking to try to solve this problem. Sure, it’s great to research, to think, to try to find solutions. But I could not deny the fact that over the last little while, I had been acting as if the solution was entirely up to me. I had momentarily forgotten that ALL POWER BELONGS TO GOD. I had forgotten to actively go to God in prayer as my FIRST step in every kind of problem, challenge, or worry. I had forgotten to take my worries to the Lord, and to continually surrender my problems to God!

Dear Friends, I would like to encourage you today, please, take your worries to the Lord. Give your burdens to God… Go to God first!

Our Greatest Weapons Against Stress Are Prayer and The Word of God. May we never forget this!
