Psalm 16:1-2, NLT Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.” (Scroll down for more Bible Verses)
Good Morning Friends! My family and I have been going through one Psalm a day these past few weeks. We read Psalm 16 yesterday, and I found these words and prayers very encouraging and uplifting. I wanted to share this beautiful psalm with you, and I pray you are also encouraged today.
As we have been reminded again and again especially in these recent times, there is nothing and no one can fully rely on except God. Every good thing in our life comes from God. As we enjoy our blessings, work through challenges and adversity, and strive to accomplish varying goals in life, we must never ever forget who our ultimate source is: GOD. God is our source. God is the only one who can truly satisfy. Everything else will fall short. So in that sense, God is all we have. Indeed, God is all we need!
Psalm 16:1-2, NLT Keep me safe, O God, for I have come to you for refuge. I said to the Lord, “You are my Master! Every good thing I have comes from you.”
Psalm 16:6, NIV The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
Psalm 16:7, NLT I will bless the Lord who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me.
Psalm 16:8-9, ESV I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.
Psalm 16:11, ESV You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Dear Friends, May we always remember to seek God first in all things.
May we always remember to commit everything to God.
May we always remember to trust in the Lord with all our hearts.
May we always remember to listen for God’s voice in everything we do.
May we always remember to keep trusting God and to keep fixing our eyes on God.
Dear Lord, We commit all of our hopes, dreams, fears and worries into your able hands. We are reminded today that everything we have comes from God – you’re all we have, and you’re all we need! Keep us safe in your loving care Lord. Let us remain steadfast in you. Let us remain satisfied in you. Let us remain hopeful in you. May our lives forever honor and glorify you. In Jesus’ precious name we pray, Amen.
