God Desires Mercy, Not Sacrifice. God Desires Mercy Over Sacrifice.

God Desires Mercy, Not Sacrifice. God Desires Mercy Over Sacrifice.

Good Morning, Dear Friends! 💕

Today, I am reminded that God desires mercy, not sacrifice – God desires mercy over sacrifice!

Bible Verse Of The Day:
Hosea 6:6, NIV For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Dear Friends, God is merciful. We are all children of God, and God wants us to be merciful too! See also: Be Merciful, Just As Your Father Is Merciful.

Showing mercy to others is a significant part of love, and as we know – Love is not optional – We must love one another! We cannot truly love without being merciful.

Important Bible Verses For Reflection:
Matthew 9:9-13, NIV As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples. When the Pharisees saw this, they asked his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

On hearing this, Jesus said, “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.’ For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Hmm! God desires mercy, not sacrifice.
Being merciful to others is much more important that offering sacrifices to God!

Encouraging Bible Verses & Scripture Quotes:
1 Corinthians 13:3, NLT If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing.

Hosea 6:6, NIV For I desire mercy, not sacrifice, and acknowledgment of God rather than burnt offerings.

Prayer:
Dear God, please help us to truly understand what it means to show mercy to others. Please keep teaching us and helping us to be agents of God’s love, mercy and grace! Please help us to always remember that we are representatives of Jesus!

Proverbs 3:5-6, NLT Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

Psalm 25:9, NIV He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way.

Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

Dear Lord, please help us to seek your will in everything we do! May we humbly surrender and submit every area of our lives to you! May your name always be glorified in our lives, Amen.

Final Inspiring Scripture Reminders:
1 Samuel 15:22, NLT But Samuel replied, “What is more pleasing to the LORD: your burnt offerings and sacrifices or your obedience to his voice? Listen! Obedience is better than sacrifice, and submission is better than offering the fat of rams.

Micah 6:8, NIV He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.
