Being Set Apart Comes At A Cost.

Dear Friends,
Today I am being reminded that being set apart for God comes at a cost.
In the book of Numbers, we see how the Levites were set apart by God to perform priestly duties.
They were given much, but much was also required of them!
This reminds me of the scripture “To whom much is given, much is required” (Luke 12:48)
Sometimes we may look at others who are being used by God in a mighty way.
We may see how God has placed great power, responsibility and access into the hands of certain people.
It may be evident to all that these people have been set apart for God.
What we may not see however, is the cost of being set apart for God.
We may not see what goes on behind the scenes.
We may not see the growing pains.
We may not see the sacrifices being made.
We may not see that being set apart comes at a cost!
May God help us as we keep learning and growing, as we journey into becoming who God created us to be.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, Amen.
