Romans 8:28, NIV And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

God Works In All Things. Yes, God Works All Things Together For Good!

What is the meaning of The Bible Verse All Things Work Together For Good?

I was listening to a talk recently, and the speaker was telling us that “Nothing is bad unless you think it is bad.” She had heard these words from someone else, and they ministered to her. She reminded us of how important it is not to jump to panic mode anytime something happens that appears to be bad. She reminded us to take time to pause, to take a few days off to reflect and think of what good could come out of this seemingly bad situation, and to write those things down. After a few days of mulling over your situation, you may find that what you thought was bad, could actually be good!

Hmm. All very wise words and thoughts! I enjoyed listening to the talk, and it was a great reminder to me to not immediately react in panic whenever something seemingly bad happens in our lives. To find the good in situations we encounter, by God’s grace and with God’s help. To not let our default reaction be despondency and despair, but to always respond in HOPE for GOOD.

As wise and helpful as the talk was however, I can’t fully stand behind the words “Nothing is bad unless you think it is bad.” This statement will work in many situations we encounter… but hmm, some things are just bad. Horrible. Heart wrenching. Unthinkable. There are some bad things you and I and others have experienced that are so difficult to even think about, and if one could get a chance to avoid those things or prevent them from happening, we would probably jump at the opportunity. There is no way I can bring myself to think of those things as being “good”.

What I can 100% stand behind however, is the scripture that reminds us that ALL THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR GOOD. No matter what we encounter in life – whether a small hiccup or a life altering event… whether it be something horrible, heart wrenching, heart breaking, unthinkable, or bad, or good, or fantastic, or exhilarating, or amazing, God will cause it to work together for good.

So whatever we encounter in life, as difficult as it may be, as bad as it may be, as unthinkable as it may be, as heart wrenching as it may be…. may we always remember to FIX OUR EYES ON GOD through it all. May we continually look to God for comfort, strength, wisdom, hope and peace. May we always remember that GOD IS THE MASTER OF EVERYTHING, and HE is the MASTER at WORKING THINGS OUT FOR GOOD. Amen.
