1. The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Wisdom.
Psalm 111:10, ESV The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

2. The Wise Listen to Advice.
Proverbs 1:5, NIV let the wise listen and add to their learning, and let the discerning get guidance.
Proverbs 11:14, NKJV Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

3. Seek God First to consistently Make Wise Decisions.
Matthew 6:33, NLT Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
Proverbs 2:6, ESV For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; (Wisdom comes from God!)




4. Commit everything to God – God will help you.
Psalm 37:5, NLT Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust him, and he will help you.

5. The Lord will guide you continually.
Isaiah 58:11, NLT The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring.

6. Trust in the Lord with all your heart.
Proverbs 3:5-6, ESV Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.

7. Please, Don’t Forget: Wisdom comes from God alone.
James 1:5, ESV If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.
