#1. Seek God First before confronting people. Go to God in prayerWisdom comes from God alone.

#2. Choose Your Battles Wisely. Is There Value In Confronting or In Letting Go?
Dear Friends, Mild annoyances with people should not always lead to confrontations! We must learn to practice letting go of offenses, instead of making a big deal out of every little thing that people say or do to annoy us. So help us God, Amen.

James 1:19, NIV My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
Proverbs 19:11, NIV A person’s wisdom yields patience; it is to one’s glory to overlook an offense.

#3. When confronting people, remember to seek God first, seek to do good, and let love be your highest goal. If any of these is amiss, please stop and reassess!
Make sure you are seeking good and speaking the truth in love, not just lashing out in anger or judgment. And sometimes, we just need to forget about confronting people and instead work on our own issues. God will give us wisdom, Amen.

Ephesians 4:32, ESV Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

Matthew 7:3-5, ESV Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
1 Peter 4:8, NIV Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

#4. Confronting Sin – Our Goal when confronting sin is to grow and to help others grow, NOT to humiliate others, disgrace others, or gossip about them. Again, LET LOVE BE YOUR HIGHEST GOAL!

James 5:19-20, NIV My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.

#5. Confronting Evil – May God grant you wisdom. God is our strength!
