I pray these Important Scripture Passages on Reputation are a blessing, inspiration and encouragement to you and yours.

We should care about our reputation and behavior because we are representatives of Jesus here on earth. A good reputation may take a lot of time to build, but it comes with many blessings, both for us and for our loved ones. Conversely, a bad reputation will bring negative consequences not just for us, but for people associated with us. Your reputation impacts not just yourself but also your children, family and friends, and other associates.

As children of God and citizens of heaven, we should not have a reputation for lying, taking shortcuts, cheating, or cutting corners. We should not have a reputation for not being dependable. We should not have a reputation for not doing what we say we will do. We should not have a reputation for speaking harsh words, bearing grudges, or for being backbiters. We should not have a reputation for gossip and slander. We should not have a reputation for being lazy. We should not have a reputation for always borrowing money and “forgetting to return it”. We should not have a reputation for being rude, unkind, and insensitive, even when we believe we are right on an issue. Being a follower of Jesus is never an excuse to be rude, intolerant, unkind or insensitive! (Don’t be rude)

May we always remember that once a bad reputation is formed, it can be quite difficult to turn it around into a good reputation. But no matter what has happened in the past, God blesses our efforts to obey Him… and with God, all things are possible! Don’t give up on your positive efforts, your reputation will turn around, by God’s grace.

May we all develop a good reputation of honesty & integrity, self-control & discipline, humility, gentleness, patience, love. May we be known for being trustworthy, being considerate, working hard, and keeping your word.

May we all develop a good reputation of being loving and compassionate. May we develop a good reputation of speaking encouraging words to others: continually building people up, and not tearing them down. May we have a good reputation of honoring God through obedience. May we continually honor and glorify God in our words and in our actions, continually shining for God, pleasing God, and drawing others to Christ. May we always remember that we are representatives of Jesus in all we say and do! So help us God, Amen.
