19 Bible Verses about Abiding In God, Abiding In Jesus, & Abiding In Christ.
What does it mean to abide in God, abide in Jesus, or abide in Christ?
Abiding in Christ means to remain in fellowship with Christ, i.e. abiding in God’s presence. When we abide in Christ, we experience God’s presence, joy and peace; we bear fruit to the glory of God; we keep learning and growing to the glory of God; and we are continually renewed day by day. Please see more on this in the scriptures below:
John 15:4, ESV Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me. (Jesus Speaking)
John 15:5, ESV I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. (Without Jesus, we can do NOTHING. With Jesus, we can do ALL things!)
2 John 1:9, ESV Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son.

Colossians 3:1-3, ESV If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. (Set your heart on God!)
Galatians 2:20, NIV I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
Romans 8:1-2, ESV There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. (We belong to God!)
