Salvation: Through Faith, Through Works, Through Grace?
#5 of 7 Bible Verses about Salvation by Faith – Salvation through Faith, Enjoying Reconciliation & Peace with God through Faith in Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1, ESV Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1, AMP Therefore, since we are justified (acquitted, declared righteous, and given a right standing with God) through faith, let us [grasp the fact that we] have [the peace of reconciliation to hold and to enjoy] peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

#6 of 7 Bible Verses about Salvation through Works – No way
What does the Bible say about works salvation?
Galatians 2:16, ESV yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

#7 of 7 Bible Verses about Salvation by Grace, through Faith!
Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Romans 11:6, ESV But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works; otherwise grace would no longer be grace.

So yes, Salvation is through faith alone, not works! However, we cannot just stop at believing; since “faith” without works (i.e. good deeds) is really not faith at all… faith without works is dead, useless, or empty faith. So as we grow in Christ, we will also by God’s grace grow in “works”, which shows our obedience to God. May we continually live lives of obedience to God – lives celebrating God’s grace every day! Amen.

“Faith Without Works Is Dead”
James 2:17b, ESV…faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
James 2:14-17, NLT What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well” – but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless.
