The power in a hug: Dear Friends, I went to bed a very happy and joyful lady last night. Not that I don’t usually go to bed happy lol, but last night was especially happy.

I am by God’s grace recovering from a bad cold/sore throat/flu. I was especially tired yesterday. My body ached, I felt sore all over, and I couldn’t wait for bedtime. My 7 & 5 year old boys came back from school and heard my still croaky voice :(.

“I hope you feel better soon”! My 5 year old gave me such a wonderful hug. I could feel the love and it made me feel so much better. Then it got even better. He looked at me with the biggest smile: “Mommy, I just gave you a joyful hug”. 😀 😀 😀

I have never used the term “joyful hug” with the kids before. I had actually never heard of a “joyful hug” before. My 5 yr old came up with it. I love it! 😀 For the rest of the evening, I received (and gave) many more joyful hugs. When hubby got back, he also got joyful hugs lol. 😀 Ah. The power in a hug… The power of a simple hug. Now the kids are so excited about giving “super joyful hugs”. LOL.

Get a hug online ~ Dear Friends, I am eager to share joyful hugs with you today. The kids and I often share what we call “virtual hugs” when we’re not right by each other. Virtual hugs are easy to share. We’ll look at each other from afar, smile, and hug ourselves, swaying from side to side for effect lol. Hope that makes sense.

So please, allow me to give you a virtual joyful hug today. “Why do I feel like I need a hug”, you may ask. You may feel like you need a hug from time to time because we were made for relationships.
