I am lazy about my word, but I agree once you get into it it brings so much succor and satisfaction. Everyday I yearn for His Word more, God help me grow!

This reminded me of the song Holy & Anointed One:
“Your name is like honey on my lips
Your Spirit like water to my soul
Your Word is a lamp unto my feet
Jesus, I love You, I love You”

His Word is what guides us & it’s so important to take time out of our days to read it & meditate on it. Great post!

Thanks for this wonderful reminder of how simply delicious and nourishing God’s word is to us…It reminds me of a verse that I read this morning…
Psalm 40:6-8 (Message)

6 Doing something for you, bringing something to you—
that’s not what you’re after.
Being religious, acting pious—
that’s not what you’re asking for.
You’ve opened my ears
so I can listen.

7-8 So I answered, “I’m coming.
I read in your letter what you wrote about me,
And I’m coming to the party
you’re throwing for me.”
That’s when God’s Word entered my life,
became part of my very being.

May His word keep becoming a part of our very beings

Sister miii… Now, I MUST have some kitkat I have been resiting the urge for the past month, but you have just spoiled the beans… lol. And yeah, I’d always agree with you about spending time in God’s presence and in the Word. Like I was reminded yesterday, “In the beginning was the Word…” So before we start anything in life, we should start, and consult with the Word. Our whole lives should be built and centered on the Word, which has the power the build us up, and give us everything we need (Remembering that the Word is also God Himself). Do have a wonderful, and hopefully not ‘kit-kat’ filled weekend! Love you dozens… xXx
